12: Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13: Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual

14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned

15: But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

  Born of Water and of the Holy Spirit
John (3:1-8 ) 1: There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews

2: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4: Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God

6: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7: Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8: The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit

 Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
John ( 14:15-17) 15: If ye love me, keep my commandments

16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.


 Heavenly Father gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask him
Luke( 11:11-13) 11: If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

12: Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

 Holy Spirit gives to each of us special abilities
1 Corinthians( 12:1-11 ) 1: Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2: Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3: Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4: Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit

5: And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6: And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7: But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal

8: For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9: To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10: To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues

11: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

 You gather thoughts, but the Lord gives you right answers
Proverbs( 16:1-2) 1: The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

2: All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits

Don’t think you know it all
Romans(12:12-16) 12: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

13: Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality

14: Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

15: Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep

16: Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

 No more changing minds on what we believe, or living as the ungodly
Ephesians(4:11-24) 11: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ

14: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15: But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ

16: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

17: This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind

18: Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart

19: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20: But ye have not so learned Christ;

21: If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23: And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24: And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Living by the Spirit’s Power
Ephesians(5:15-20) 15: See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16: Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17: Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is

18: And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

19: Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

20: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

The Whole Armour of God
Ephesians(6:10-18) 10: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11: Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12:For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

13: Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14: Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15:And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16: Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked

17: And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

 Love does no wrong to anyone, Clothe yourselves with the Armor of right living
Romans(13:9-14) 9: For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10: Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law

11: And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12: The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13: Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14: But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof
